"Avenge December 7" – WWII American Propaganda Poster

Historical context: Painted by Bernard Perlin and issued by the U.S. Office of War Information in 1942 (OWI Poster No. 15), this poster turned the shock of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 into a call to action. A sailor in a torn uniform raises his fist as a ship burns behind him, capturing the anger that carried America into the war.
