Historical context: Issued by the U.S. Office of War Information in 1943, this poster shows a sailor's hand sinking beneath the waves beside a wrecked ship, with the warning "...don't talk about ship movements! ...don't talk about war production!" A powerful example of America's wartime campaign against careless talk.
